Everest
Basecamp Trek
Our Everest Basecamp trek will be a 14 day trek through Everest base camp stopping along the way to tour the centuries old Buddhist monasteries. This portered tea-house trip will be for backpackers and climbers a like. With a starting elevation of about 8,000ft the trip begins near the rainforest. As the trail ascends along the ridges and valleys of the Khumbu region the environment quickly changes to conifer forests and high alpine terrain. After nine days of hiking we reach Everest base camp and an optional side hike to Kala Pataar at over 18,000 feet.
A typical day in the Khumbu may be spent hiking within view of the highest
mountains in the world. Ama Dablam, Pumori, Nuptse, and Everest are
just a few of the big peaks along the way. On rest days we take it easy
with an opportunity to visit local Buddhist monasteries, barter in the
trader’s markets, or spend a relaxed evening in the tea houses
learning about the Nepali people. Annapurna Circuit Trek
