The Summit of Mt. Whitney is the highest point in the contiguous United States. Both the East Face and East Buttress take routes directly to the summit. Both routes are Sierra Classics. To climb these classics you are required to have solid rock climbing skills, desire and excellent physical conditioning for this three-day adventure on the East Face of Mt. Whitney. Day one is the approach hike to our base camp with review of technical climbing techniques. Day two starts early as we head for the summit via our chosen either the East Face or East Buttress and descend back to our base camp via the mountaineer’s route. Day three we descend the scenic hike out to the Whitney Portal Trail head. Give us a call to schedule a climb for Summer 2013!
