Mt. Shasta Casaval Ridge
Intermediate Mountaineering Course & Climb
3 days / 2 nights / Cost: $645.00
Casaval Ridge is the strikingly beautiful ridge which forms the western boundary to Avalanche Gulch. This route is considered by some to be one of the longest and most aesthetic lines on the mountain. Join us for this three day guided climb of Mt. Shasta’s classic Casaval Ridge. Only “in shape” in early to late spring when there is plenty of snow to cover the rocky ridge. Steep terrain and spectacular views await the intermediate climber on this exciting route. Determination, excellent physical condition, previous ice ax and crampons skills are required for the ascent. We will make a high camp on the Casaval Ridge and review your skills prior to our attempt of the summit. Technical skills, steep terrain, and weather make this an excellent experience climb for Mt. Mckinley, Mexico Volcanoes , South America, or our Nepal Expeditions.
